» CHIESA di SANTA CATERINA
(CHURCH of SAINT CATHERINE)

The façade of the church is entirely in terracotta in two orders overlaid and crowned by a curvilinear gable.
It is embellished by niches and severe cornices and broken by a series of pilaster strips. During the first half of the last century, in an attempt to soften its severity, the capitals of the pilaster strips and a doorway in chippings were added. Through the magnificent door in walnut with elegant panels, sculpted around the mid 18th century, the large single nave chamber is entered covered by a barrel vault and flanked by six chapels. The vault was frescoed in the early last century by Luigi Morgari.
The grandmother of Don Bosco, “Domenica Bossone”, was christened in the Church baptistery in 1752.

» CHIESA CONFRATERNITA di SANT'ANNA
(CONFRATERNITY CHURCH of SAINT ANNE)

It was home to the Confraternity of the Humiliated, built in 1710. Its strangely articulated façade is characteristic. Recent restoration work has shown how the upper part is a rear extended elevation of the entire building, which originally terminated at the first cornice with overlapping gable, probably curvilinear, as it has been maintained in the extended elevation. The magnificent doorway in 18th century terracotta embellishes the entire view. Internally it has a single nave, clad in wood panels, decorated with numerous 16th-17th century canvases, with aristocratic coats of arms, and antique wooden and terracotta statues
